Full Moon in Gemini

On Wednesday, December 7 at 11:08 pm EST, the moon will be full in the sign of Gemini.  If you’re familiar with the communicative and intellectually energetic sign of Gemini, it’s no surprise that one astrologer/author refers to this one as “The Storyteller’s Moon”.  Gemini energy is adaptable, versatile, creative, and quick and those are good traits for a storyteller.   Being a December moon, it’s also popularly known as a “Cold Moon”.

A full moon is said to be the culmination of energy started when there was a new moon in that same sign, and this year the new moon in Gemini took place on May 30.  Think about what was happening on or about this time in your life, and see how it may have progressed to some type of manifestation or have simply run its cycle at this time.  For me, I lost a family member on that day and I’m just now getting to a place where I can begin to let him go.

Great ways to honor this full Gemini moon include telling or listening to stories, writing, or journaling.  Rituals that are always good for any full moon may be useful as well.  Grounding, cleansing, and clearing your space are great ways to let go of what no longer serves you.  Because it’s the Moon (emotions) in Gemini (communication) you might consider talking about your emotions with a good friend. As always, light a candle and do some meditation about the good things that have happened in your life.  Thanksgiving may be past now, but gratitude is a very powerful tool.
